on this mothers day
i too am thinking of guns and roses.
see today i send a special shout out to Bri.
Bri married my cousin Rayshawn at the age of 21.
Ray was shot to death in the city of brotherly love last year.
this day was
1 month after his 26th bday,
1 day after his auntie's wedding,
1 week after his family gatherd for his baby's shower,
1 week before his baby Milanj Rae entered the world.

U see the guns and roses are on the minds of many today.
The loss and love that overwhelms the body and spirit, overwhelming the mother, who must continue to give and nurture her baby and teach her to love
her dad
who she will never physically know.

today my mind is on guns and roses and mommies who will "always have their dreams despite the things this troubled world can bring."
